Seasonal events this Halloweekend include the Harvest Fest parade in West Seattle, with chili cook offs and fun costume competitions, as well as the Aquarium Halloween, Trick or Treat at Waterfront, and Costumes on the Cobblestones in Seattle. For a farther travel in Federal Way, there is Fright Fest at Wild Waves Theme and Water Park with 25 different rides in the dark, a haunted trail and two haunted houses. Finally, the Woodland Park Zoo has a pumpkin bash and trick-or-treating.

There are also many scary Halloween themed movies showing in Seattle. For instance the new thriller “Countdown” is being released in theatres this weekend, which is a movie about an app that can predict your death date. A wide variety of different horror movies are playing at cinemas throughout the weekend. Some of these include Ouija Origin of Evil, Halloween, Hocus Pocus, and Nosferatu.

More locally there are events on our side of the water. The pumpkin patch at Suyematsu Farms has hay rides, fresh apple cider, and a large variety of pumpkins for picking. As well as the pumpkin walk at Bainbridge Gardens which is made up of 300 lit and carved pumpkins produced by the boys and girls club on the island. Lastly, Your Worst Frightmare on Bainbridge Island is a haunted house in the dark basement of the old Transmitter building at Battle Point Park. In Silverdale, the Kitsap Haunted Fairgrounds includes three different warehouses full of scary rooms and scenarios to escape from. For a more child friendly scene, in Silverdale there is also a Trick or Treat contest at the Kitsap Mall. Make sure to come out and support your local Halloween festivities, as well as the events just a ferry ride away with bigger crowds!
