As homecoming weekend approaches, so does a school-wide favorite, Spirit Week. From dressing up in Hawaiian gear to showing off our strong school spirit, Spirit Weeks of the past have always been proven to be a great time, with this year being no different. Senior Lindsay Franznick, explaining why spirit week is such a closely guarded tradition, says, “Because it changes up [the] day and makes school more exciting. Toga day is especially fun because you’ve been waiting for it all of high school.” Here’s what you can expect for this year’s spirit week.

Monday – PJ Day
A time-tested favorite! Your morning will be made simple, as it’s easy as rolling out of bed and hitting the road. From wacky pants to superhero onesies, PJ day is a guaranteed fun time.

Tuesday – Twin Day
Even though you’re not blood related, show the school who your twin is through matching outfits!

Wednesday – Wild West
Ditch the Patagonias and Birkenstocks for a flannel and cowboy boots! Throw away your sorry floss dance and switch it up with some good old line dancing. Although we live in the northwest, there is always a time and place to let out your inner YEEHAW!

Thursday – Dress like a teacher day
From Mr Holland’s casual friday outfit to Mr. Chaisson’s double sweater look, and even Ms. G’s iconic sweatsuit, there is certainly a teacher’s style to emulate. Show who you believe to be the best dressed spartan teacher on Thursday.

Friday – Spirit Day
Don all the blue and gold gear you have to support the Spartan football team in the big homecoming game. Seniors get to finally throw on their togas, in what is seen as the full realization of senior year.
