News with Netflix
We all know and are familiar with our best late night friend Netflix, and coming soon is a slew of new shows that will be added, and some shows will be taken off Netflix. The exciting new shows and episodes include the second season of Jessica Jones!
This series is about a modern superhero who runs a private detective agency and has super strength. Through the series, the character Jessica Jones deals with issues from her past while simultaneously saving people and dealing with new issues as they come. It’s an action packed drama that keeps you on your toes and glues your eyes to the screen. The new episodes started streaming as of March 8.
What also was just recently brought to netflix was the third and final season of Love. this season is a fantastic dramedy about two lovestruck 30-somethings that find themselves in Los Angeles. The story is about a program that follows a couple who must navigate the exhilarations and humiliations of intimacy, commitment and other things they were hoping to avoid. A hilarious and charming serious that you really should check out if you haven’t already.
A main similarity in a lot of the new Netflix additions for this month, are shows with powerful female characters, since march is national women’s history month. The shows contain women who have control and capability, and the characters are both fiction and real.
One documentary thats come out this month is about the story of an impoverished indian girl who rises above the challenges and becomes the highest ranking archer in the world. The name of this short, inspiring womens documentary is called Ladies first, and people are saying it is a must watch, so go and take a look!
And for brand new releases or yet to be released, we have two: RAM-DASS GOING-HOME a documentary and Game Over, Man a comedy film.
The new documentary was released a few days ago and is about Ram Dass who was one of the most important cultural figures from the 1960s and 70s. He was a beloved spiritual teacher and the author of He Here Now. He suffered a life changing stroke twenty years ago, and since than has been living on Maui and deepening his spiritual practice — which is centered on love and his idea of merging with his surroundings and all living things. The short film sounds very interesting and maybe even a little surreal; either way, if you’re into spiritual thinking and documentaries be sure to look into this film.
The to-be released to Netflix comedy film Game Over, Man is about three friends who are on the verge of getting their video game financed when their benefactor is taken hostage by terrorists. A very fun and exciting new movie to see when its released for sure! There’s not a whole lot of information about it online, looks like we’ll have to wait and see.
