The Spirit Week Disaster
If the cold air and early snow aren’t enough to get you into the winter spirit, then maybe a whole spirit week dedicated to winter will be enough. To start off the week is cozy snow day, when you can roll out of bed in your wintery pajamas and come to school just like that. Tuesday is day on the slopes where you show up in skiing or snowboarding gear to represent your love for the mountains. Wednesday is candy cane day when when the student body will dress up in red and white stripes to represent the best Christmas Candy of all. Thursday is Holiday spirit day when you pick any winter-related holiday and represent it. Friday, definitely my favorite, is ugly sweater day, when you run up to the attic at 8:25 in the morning to dig through all the ugly sweaters your parents have kept over the years and try to find the most horrid one.
Just like last spirit day, Ms Leigh’s leadership class plans out these events.
“People come up with days and the class votes on them. My favorite day is probably holiday day because I love Christmas,” said leadership student Elisabeth Names.
The student body has responded very well to “I think this is going to be the best spirit week there has ever been. Hands down best ever. Also what is the meaning of spirit week?” said an avid, enthusiastic, energizer, Jack Naon.
“Winter spirit week is going to be the littest thing in the entire world. I love santa and candy canes,” said senior Michael Greenwood.
Winter spirit week is going to be a kick for every student at BHS. Our school should be extremely thankful to leadership for planning out these great weeks. Remember to dress up in winter gear from Monday the 11th to Friday the 14th of December.
