Tiger Woods DUI
A lot can change in 10 years, ten years ago Tiger Woods was the best golfer in the world. He was coming off his 4th Masters tournament win, 3rd The Open championship, and 4th Pga tournament win. He was unstoppable, a short 10 years later he is arrested driving around under the influence of prescription painkillers. It all started in 2008 when an infidelity scandal hit him hard. Over a dozen woman came forward saying they had an affair with tiger, this caused the end of endorsements, his marriage, and most importantly, his confidence. He has not placed in a major golfing championship since. In his most recent 2015 appearance in the masters tournament he tied for 17th. And now on June 1st 2017 at around 3am Florida police pulled over Tiger asleep at the wheel in his car in the middle of the street. He was charged with dui and improper parking. During the sobriety test Tiger is seen stumbling, slurring his speech, walking away and even asking “what are we doing?” as the officer took him to the station for booking. No alcohol was found in Tigers system only a prescription drug the name of which has not been released yet. Tiger is not the only major celebrity to have had problems with prescription pills most notably the overdose of Prince caused by a prescription pill called Fentanyl which has been described by addiction specialists as heroin on steroids. This is a problem not just limited to celebrities as million of Americans have been involved in a prescription pill dui in the last few years. In fact according to the Nation Traffic and Highway Safety Administration fatal crashes that have tested positive for prescription drugs has almost doubled in the past 10 years. Tiger has been through alot and had a pretty poor reputation to begin with. Is this the end for Tiger, the second most decorated golfer of all time or does he have one final push left in him.
