Worldwide Danger: North Korea Test Fires Missiles
Nuclear war is one of the world’s greatest dangers. Of the countries that posses these extremely dangerous weapons, North Korea may be considered to be one of the most concerning. North Korean leader Kim Jong Un has expressed interest in creating missiles capable of reaching the west coast of the United States.

Over the last three weeks, North Korean officials have conducted three missile engine tests. According to an official, “the engine technology could possibly be used in an eventual intercontinental ballistic missile.” That means these tests could put people all across the globe in severe danger.
Officials from the ICBM are not sure whether it is possible for North Korea to create a missile that would be capable of reaching the U.S. coast. In order to create that type of missile, a nuclear warhead would have to be miniaturized enough to where it could be mounted to a rocket and be efficient enough to travel the extreme distance between the two nations.
In response to these latest missile tests, US Marines have deployed F-35Bs to South Korea. “This is the first time we have operated the F-35B in the Republic of Korea,” Pentagon spokesman US Navy Capt. Jeff Davis said in an interview. He also described the action as “defensive in nature.” He also made sure to add that, “It goes without saying we are committed to defending the Republic of Korea and Japan against any North Korean aggression.”
