On March 29th, BHS Choir had its Spring Choir Concert. It was held in the LGI and students, teachers, and parents showed up to watch. The concert was a collaboration of both the Woodward and BHS Choirs. The concert was “a mix of styles… all focused on nature and aesthetics of Spring,” as described by BHS Choir director Mr. Dalrymple. The set list included pieces such as Mozart’s Luci Care (lovely stars), and The Colors of the Wind from the Disney movie Pocahontas. The students in the choir graced all who were there with their lovely voices and were sang more boldly than ever before. According to BHS band teacher Chris Thomas, “It was super rad and sounded great.”

After the Spring performance, the Choir started preparing for their next and final concert of the year. On June 7th, in the LGI, the Choir will perform their last concert of the year alongside the new Guitar Ensemble. The music performed by the Choir and Guitar Ensemble will be in the style of rock and folk tradition songs from the 1960s on. The groups will also perform separately with a special appearance from a small group of students you’ve been practicing independently from choir class. The students gave their all to one of the last times they will sing through choir this year, but will be sure to finish the year out strong with their fast-approaching final concert of the year.
