The Best Rappers Right Now

Throughout the years, the rap game has been growing and evolving. As the years have passed, there has been a parade of the elite of each class of rappers. From 2Pac, Dr. Dre, and Eazy E of the gangster rap age on the west coast, to the east coast trap age of Gucci Mane, Migos, and Future, who are all from Atlanta, here are my top most notable rappers of the current age.

Joey Bada$$ of Pro Era is a personal favorite of mine. His New York street style flow has fronted a new movement of sound. His latest 2016/17 releases, “Land Of The Free,” “Front and Center,” and “Brooklyn’s Own” have been some of his most popular ever. His debut album “B4.DA.$$.” made waves in the rap community, and it is considered “a step in the right direction in New York hip-hop getting the attention and validation it’s long been denied.” However, I would say that his mixtapes “1999” and “Summer Knights” are his best releases to date.

His fans have been expecting a new full length album for a while now. Joey released a tweet to his fans on November 8th saying, “The new music is well worth the wait!! Today was the original release date for my upcoming album. But it’s been delayed 4 perfection.” I think that Joey will go places as the next few years pass.

Next is Travis Scott, a Houston rapper of Epic Records. His two full length albums “Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight (2016)” and “Rodeo (2015)” feature songs such as “Goosebumps,” “Way Back,” and “Antidote.” These tracks have birthed a wide range of popularity and a new body of listeners that adore his music. His fans have been waiting for the release of the tour dates for his “Birds in the Trap” tour. He was quoted saying “This is gonna be the illest tour of all time.” His manager said that tour dates would be released in late January, but we are still waiting. His trap style and popularity will carry him far, while his fans eagerly wait for him to release his dates and come visit their city.
